Using a process based on the magnetic particle separation principle, the nucleic acids are then separated, washed and, finally, eluted.

A wide variety of starting materials can be used such as cell culture supernatants, cell-free body fluids such as plasma and serum, whole blood, stool samples, swabs and other relevant materials.
The innuPREP Blood DNA Mini Kit - FX has been designed for automated extraction of genomic DNA (gDNA) from whole blood preparations including fresh or frozen whole blood samples stabilized with EDTA, citrate or heparin and even collected in PAXgene® Blood DNA Tubes. The extraction protocol is established on CyBio FeliX based on sample volumes of up to 400 µl. The extraction process is based on binding the nucleic acids to magnetic particles.
